BUILDING A SKILLS TRAINING CENTRE FOR THE POOR TO END POVERTY AND UNEMPLOYMENT NOW!!
TEKCHILLS CENTRE of SKILLS will be designated to be a Non-profit Skills Training Centre that offers the vulnerable and underprivileged young people in slum, rural, and deprived areas of Ghana creative life skills to have a new life out of poverty and underachievement. With about 60% of young people who are unemployed and 25% who face abject poverty.
THE PROBLEM WE SEEK TO ADDRESS
The problem we are solving is about the high rates of poverty, unemployment, and underachievement of young people in Ghana because of the lack of creative life skills in them, with currently about 60% unemployed young people, and also 25% of children living in abject poverty.
OUR PROPOSED SOLUTION
Our Solution is to establish a Skills training Centre and organize community workshops that focus on offering young people in the poor communities of Ghana with creative life skills. Our Outcome is to reduce the high rates of poverty and unemployment among the youth by 30% in the communities that we will be operating in.
HOW DOES IT WORK
This Solution helps young people to a better future and to fulfill their potentials, for instance, if a young child drops out of school because of financial problems from the home, the child will be able to use the life skill gained from the creative arts program we offer to develop products and in the process earn a living out his /her skill gained. Also, children who are not educated will have hope through our skill center because they know that there is an opportunity for them to gain creative life skills to become independent and not victims to abject poverty, nor to do jobs that are detrimental to their health.
We seek to operate within the budget of $45,000 - $60,000 per training center.
